I am researching the Hartnetts of Limerick and having difficulty identifying the Townland or Parish from which my ancestors emigrated to Boston. Patrick J. Hartnett b. 15 Oct 1846 emigrated to Boston as a boy with parents John R. and Ellen (Farrell) Hartnett. Have looked just about everyplace to identify what part of Limerick they were from. Any advice will be very much appreciated.

Would it be possible that the surname could of been transcribed as 'Harnett'? - http://bit.ly/wHoTcZ

I have seen the name spelt Hartnett and Harnett but only the former with my known ancestors. Sure, it's possible the original is Harnett. Thanks.
